Bringing together classical musicians from most of New York City’s boroughs, this afternoon of 20th-21st century music promises to be a musical journey unlike any on the average art calendar. Young musicians have the tendency to stray towards the most outrageous and impressive works available in any given era, and this afternoon’s performers are no different. Works by the greatest (and possibly unknown) living composers will be played by the most qualified musicians out there—their sidekicks.Works will include
Vito Ricci - "Meditation For Wrench Guitar"
Rich Bennett - "String Trio For Violin, Viola, Cello"
Luciano Berio - "Sequenza VIIB" for solo saxophone
David Lang - "Thorn" for solo flute
and more!!
