MUSIC FOR FLUTES ALONE -- Robert Dick plays his new pieces
for flutes of many
sizes and sounds, from piccolos to contrabass flutes. The experience of Dick's
solo concerts has often been likened to hearing a full orchestra -- he treats
his flutes like human powered synthesizers, playing chords, percussion, melodies
in many sound colors -- and of course the beauty of the flute.
