A Festival of New Music

Almost Every Sunday Afternoon at 4

Safe-T-Gallery is proud to present a new concert series to be held in its gallery space nearly every Sunday afternoon from October 5 through December 21, 2003. The series, named for the lively neighborhood between Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Brooklyn where the concerts take place, aims to present a delectable variety of new and creative music -- every week presenting a different ensemble of creative artists presenting their most recent works.
Kicking off the season on October 5 is a solo performance by world-renowned virtuoso flautist Robert Dick. Following weeks include acoustic works by Brooklyn composer Rama Gottfried, electro-acoustic improvisatory performances by Natacha Diels, Andrew Greenwald, as well as concerts by The NOW ensemble, Pamplemousse, and The Multiple Choice Ensemble. In addition there will be three afternoons of classic and new silent movies and videos with live music.

The series takes place at Safe-T-Gallery, an elegant art-space carved out of a single-story industrial warehouse. The setting is comfortable and intimate with the audience size extremely limited. The concerts promise to be joyous, informal gatherings of extraordinary musicians and listeners.
All the concerts begin at 4pm on Sunday afternoons. Tickets are available on the day of the concert at the door, reservations can be made <here>. Click on the concert date below for more information.
